Hi everybody,

I've got a weird problem with usb-sticks and SD-cards on my macbook (pro).
Ever since I use them on my mac they seem to lose storagespace going from a couple of MB's to even GB's.
I just noticed it recently when I was deleting all files on an SD-card.
When everything was deleted only half of the diskspace was available.
I even checked it on a windows-pc. After formatting the disk space got fully restored. I tought that it might be an error with the sd-card.
But today I noticed the same problem on a memorystick.
Now I know how to solve the problem, but not how to prevent it from happening again.

Anyone who can give me an explanation?

I'm new on this forum and sorry if I posted this topic in the wrong category.

Greetings

I'm not sure if this is the problem or not, but next time you remove the memory stick and attach it to your PC, set Explorer's file options to show hidden files and folders. There may be hidden files and folders remaining on the memory stick that haven't been deleted when the Trash was emptied.

Regards.

Thanks for the reply, but I already did that.

And when I took a look at the properties, it said that there were no files in there.

It's just strange.
