Hello,
First time poster here on these fourms:Blushing:

Anyway, I have a JVC everio camera and using iMovie for editing. Now for a whole year (2008) I made tons of movies with no problems at all.

For the first time in 2009 I go to import movies from my camera and it says "No camera connected please connect camera"

So did something happen when we switched to a new year or??????

I should also mention I can connect to iPhoto no problem.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Have you updated iMovie recently? If so, time machine back and see if somehow it was the update that caused it.

I see time machine has never been set up on this machine which I now regret but no it has not been updated unless the computer did it automatically.

I don't think it has been updated because it's version 7.1 which would make it the right age for the computer.

I'll try updating to the newest version and see what happens.

Thanks for your help.
