Screen saver crash

All of a sudden my screen savers doesn't work. When I go into my System preferences and open the "Desktop & Screensaver" file it crashes and I get an error message. I've put all the energy saver systems to "never" sleep but the system still tries load the screen saver ( I get a blank screen ) then flashes back to my the desk top, then blank screen , then desk top screen, on and on. Anyone know a solution.
