Keeps sleeping...

Hi

I have just taken my MacBook Pro (aluminium type) away from the 24" external display. It was closed and the external was my main display...

When I opended the MacBook, it stayed on for about 4 seconds then went to sleep. It now will not stay on for more than 4-5 seconds before going back to sleep...

If I hold alt and boot it will stay on until I press enter, then it sleeps after a few seconds...

I can't even boot to my install disk as it will sleep after a few seconds...

Any help massively appreciated..!

First off, Welcome to Mac-Forums.
Second. This stinks that your having trouble. I had this happen to me before and what I did was just pull my battery out and then put it back in, re-booted and I was all set to go. Just try booting from your regular HD after pulling out the Battery.

Did it fix the problem
