Why can't I edit my post in the for sale forum to say that it is sold?

The edit button isn't showing up. Why does it not allow me to edit this?

edit is only an option for a user for a short time. i'm not sure of the time period, might be a day...

your best option is to just leave a clear note at the bottom of the thread stating that the item is sold.
