Personally I think that It would be worth it to do a little bit of research on how to do it your self and do it that way.
Also, It just depends on what model of MacBook Pro you have. The Uni-Body MBP is a lot easier to get into and upgrade vs. the Previous generation that might be a little bit trickier.
