the remote control not longer working, help

my imac is no longer detecting the remote control, but the problem is not the remote, couse i can activate other macs with it... my imac is not longer accepting it? problem with the infrared!?
anyone knows how to fix this?
help will be appreciated :)

Have you deactivated the remote sensor under System Preferences > Security?
