macbook hard drive upgrade

just a quick question:

Can you but a bigger hard drive in any macbook? i think mines one of the older ones. Cheers

Quick answer: Yes. It needs to be a SATA notebook drive, but replacement is quite easy. I upgraded mine to a 160GB drive, and my brother in law's to a 320 or so drive.

Cheers. im looking into getting a 500GB seagate drive, but just making sure that its not just the newer macbooks that can be changed. thanks for your help :)
