i have an external hard drive with firewire.
And i have a macbook pro. But i don't see there is any port which fits the other end of the firewire cable.

Can you please tell me if macbook pro has a firewire port?

Thank you.

Which macbook pro do you have? Is it the unibody? If that's the case then it only supports firewire 800. If you have a firewire 400 cord then you will need a FW 400 to 800 adapter.

Is it the unibody macbook pro? does the trackpad have a button or IS the trackpad the button? If you have the newfangled buttonless glass trackpad then you will need to get a firewire 400 to 800 adapter.
