Two or three times now, in answering a question, when I've tried to attach an explanatory document, like a manual, within permitted limits, I'm informed that I've "already attached XXXX document" in such-and-such a thread. I copy the link to that thread and paste it in my answer instead.

Appreciating the need not to clutter the server with unnecessary attachments, is there a way to reattach a document etc to an answer, instead of just referring the inquirer to a link?

ok - i knew this could be done, but took a minute to find it.

in your profile, at the bottom of the links on the left is link to view every attachment you've ever added. click on any one of them to get the direct link to the attachment rather than to the post it was in.
