Emptying the trash problem

I have sent a music folder of mine to the trash, although when i try to empty it it says "The operation cannot be continued because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items"

How on earth do i delete it, its soooo annoying i dont want it here!!!

Also sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash/*
does not work.. the terminal asks me for my password, i type it in and it doesnt do anything, it just goes to a new command prompt
please help!

Try the free "Force Empty the Trash" utility. Download from here.

Here is another one to try: "Trash it". Google it for the Mac. I use it and it works very well.
