iPod touch glitching

Your Mac's Specs
MacBook 2.4GHz, 4Gb Ram, 2008 white
Trying to connect to the internet (WPA), I have the code and name pre-'known' in my iPod so it auto connects. Just recently it has been jumping on and off (multiple times, every second) and will not connect. Any knowledge of this issue? Thanks.
