I recently inherited an iPod nano from a relative who was using Windows XP. There is all kinds of wonderful music on it which I would like to download to my new iMac, with her permission. Can you tell me how I do this please? The music on the iPod is from CD's. When I connect the iPod to my Mac is says "only Macintosh formated iPods can be updated". Does this mean I have to format the iPod and therefore lose all the good music. I might add I am a senior and a newbie. Thank you.
