Hello everyone, I'm suffering the old freezing-on-grey-apple-startup-screen chestnut in my powerbook g4. It won't boot in safe mode and it won't boot to the OSX CD (freezes in same way). I can run target disk mode and have backed everything up, and can get into terminal.
Running fsck -y tells me "volume could not be repaired". How can I run archive & install from terminal? And do I need a 2nd drive connected with an OS already on it?
Also, if necessary I may just reformat the drive - anyone know how to do this from terminal?
Thankyou for all help offered!
