Hey, my iPod Touch 1st GEN is currently using 1.1.5 software and I am wondering whether to update it or not by paying £5.99 (£) for the software 2.2.

I was just wondering is it worth it (anyone done it) and can I get games and applications from the store which actually will go on my iPod?

Thanks alot :)

Well, most changes are bug fixes, though one notable addition was the option to download podcasts from iTunes Store...
If you want to stay up to date, sure, splash out and get the update.

I have the iPod Touch 2G, so I am unaware of what the original was like...
You'll have to get someone else's opinion.

IMO it is worth it. I upgraded my first generation touch the minute it released. You can load apps and games, and there are plenty of choices available. It was a whole new experience for me.

wow! still running 1.1.5?
may I ask for what reason?
I also upgraded as soon as the 2.0 came out.
It is WELL worth the money!
The app store is revolutionary!
the best part is, many apps are free!
do it! do it! do it!
