Re-installing OSX 10.4 on iBook- erase & install

I've done an erase and install previously, but today I can't do it.

I Insert the Install DVD Disk into the drive and then select Restart
When I hear the chime I hold down C key until the apple logo appears.
This takes me to "Welcome to t he Mac OSC Installer"
But I am not given an option to select "Erase and Install." Only option is to install the additional applications that came with my computer by clicking "Continue."

Can't for the life of me figure out what I am doing wrong.

Any help will be appreciated.

Cancel your way out of the installer and then select Disk Utility from the top menu. You'll now be able to erase the drive, format it, and reinstall OS X.

Thanks for the response. But I am not sure how to do that. When I go to Disk Utility to erase the drives there are a bunch of options and I don't know what to do (a few drives show up on the left hand and the drop down menu has different options under volume format.

Any idea why I can't do what I have done before: erase and install?

I figured out what I was doing wrong. When I got to the part where you click on the hard drive you want to install onto, I didn't click "options" in order to
Select Erase and Install.
