This may be a ridiculous question, so I do apologize! I just bought a refurb. ibook g3, and it has an "airport extreme" card in it. A friend of mine gave me his Netgear wireless router as well. Is this all I need to connect to the internet? Or, do I need to be signed up with an internet service provider as well? I am completley new to this, so any suggestions will help. Thanks!

You need to have a service provider in order to connect to the internet. The wireless router connects to the modem which is installed by the provider, allowing you to surf wirelessly instead of needing to be plugged in to the modem.

Internet on that G3 is going to be painfully slow.

the internet provider will probably be able to set that router up for you when they come install your modem, if you ask the tech guy he might be kind enough ;)
