I am going to be getting a 12" iBook soon and I wanted to use it to burn dvd's. But since it doesn't have a superdrive, I won't be able to. Is there any way to make it on iDvd and burn it on a windows pc?

Has anyone used an external DVD RW besides the LaCie unit? I may sound cheap, but I really don't want to spend $200 for an external drive when our Windows brethren can get one for half that price.

My option right now is to use the Easter Egg mentioned on Jeff's Mac Support Website to write the DVD on my XP machine, but that kinda defeats the purpose of my migrating away from Windows.
