sharing a document between 2 computers

I am trying to figure out how to save a document from my macbook onto my imac so that when I work on the document I have the document in the same place regardless of whether I work on it from macbook or imac. So that there is one version that I am working on at all times. I know there is the drop box but can I access the Documents folder from my macbook (the documents folder on my imac?)

thanks for looking and any help you can offer...

system preferences, sharing, there you can add folders you want to share =) even make so just some people can access to it etc. What should work for you =)

yep that worked!

thanks so much - that worked. Had to make each folder and sub folder read write access. thanks mate...
