BootCamp: Windows XP Audio Issue

Hi Guys,

I've been running Windows 7 on my iMac Intel for a few weeks now, and before that was happily running Vista with no issues what so ever.

I want to go back and install Windows XP. I haven't done so for a long time now and was just wondering if you guys have heard of any advancements with the renowned XP sound problem. Has there been any progress? Are the issues still there? Is there still no sound in XP? Or has it all been fixed and rectified?

What renowned XP sound problem? I wasn't aware that XP in Boot Camp had an audio issue. Mine worked fine upon installation and many other folks are likewise running XP in Boot Camp without any difficulty with audio.
