Gtx 260 video problems

Is there any drivers at all available for this card in osx?

It will only work in VESA mode.

Any way to force native resolution 1680x1050x32@60

com.apple.boot.plist hacks?

Umm this card isn't compatible with Macs. Although I have heard of people flashing these cards to work under Mac OS X! But you need a PC to do that.

I have a PC.. Any ideas of how??

I've heard somewhere you can actually flash a PC card to work in a Mac but I do not recommend it. I think some guy went through a lot of flashing on a 9800GTX before he got it to work.

But hchcnimey, when buying cards you HAVE to go through Apple. PC cards will not work in a Mac system. Maybe return this card or sell it or keep it if you have a PC lying around, then go buy an NVIDIA 8800GT from your Apple Store.

Alternatively, hold out for the Mac Pro update which should bring about a GPU change and purchase that.

No doubt it will be a GTX 2xx if they do swap the 8800GT which is getting quite old now but hey it's still a lot better than the base 2600 ATi model!
