Tried to install 10.5.6 and it gave me this

Couldn't open "MacOSXUpd10.5.6.pkg". This package type requires Mac OS X 10.5.

This is prob the most newbie question but do i have to install every consecutive os version until i reach the newest version? or just 10.5.?

10.4 is Tiger - 10.5 is Leopard

You will need to purchase and install Leopard before you can use any of the Leopard updates.

If you are current at 10.4.11, then you will need to get a retail copy of OS X 10.5 (Leopard). Install it and then down load the 10.5.6 combo update and install it. That is the only way you ae going to get to 10.5
