open at login not working - can't get programs to launch on start up

Hey can anyone help me?

Since I installed 10.5.6, I can't get programs to launch automatically. I have added them to the " login items " in system preferences and "open at login" is checked when I right click the icon in the launch bar. But the programs do not launch at start up.

This is really annoying. Has anyone else experienced this? Help please!

I have exactly the same problem. No idea why it's happening...

I thought I had this problem, but it turned out that the programs in the list are not executed at the same time, but after one another, and if one in the chain fails... well... Eventually it might hang and crash and execute the other programs, but that usually takes a very long time.

I don't know if you noticed but this subject thread is over six years old… and not too many using 10.5.x these days.
