I'm going into 3D animation and need to know what specs I would need for a Mac.

I'm using blender3D And I need to be able to have up to 100,000 polygons and still run smooth.

MBP/2.53GHz i5/4GB RAM/500GB HDD/15" LED Screen/Intel HD Graphics & NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M
Get yourself a nice big processor and at least 4Gb RAM. Are you seriously considering a MacBook? It would probably run Blender but you're going to be cutting it quite fine. I suggest the 2.4Ghz MBP with 4Gb RAM.
