itunes control

why is it that on my new ibook, sometimes i can control itunes with just the arrow keys, sometimes with the arrow keys plus the apple key, and sometimes not at all?

Usually it depends on the window you've clicked to focus on.

one more thing off topic a little. why do a lot of websites not display right. where there should be an animation or picture, there is a quicktime symbol. what could be the problem? thanks
