with a app called iStat
I'm sure there's many other options, but that's what we're both using.

I would have to agree with scathe those are some high temps, I mean I know laptops get hot but dam! These are the temps I got from my iMac G5 it's been running for hours now and I have been gaming and did some video editing a little while ago...

jpics temps must be in fahrenheit.
otherwise surely the thing wud be melting to the desk.

they are in fahrenheit... did you mean celsius? because celsius would actually read much lower...

i was saying if those temps were in celcius, then that laptop would be in trouble.

jpics temps are definitely in Fahrenheit

Jpics in the computer world most people use Celsius when speaking in terms of temperature. Feel free to use whatever measurement system you like but just make sure you mention which system you are using.

As for temps. My laptop has been on for a few hours just browsing the internet and running a few simple apps such as Adium and Mail:

huh??
so your saying his CPU for example is at 157deg Celcius!!! yet his fans are only ~2000rpm.....i dont think so....

ok so these are my temps after a school day ... no gaming or anything too demanding :) a bit of photo-editing

HD: 25°
CPU A: 39°
Enclosure base: 25°
Enclosure base 2: 25°
GPU: 23°
GPU Heatsink: 36°
Mem controller: 33°

both fans at 2000+- rpm

all in celcius, sry for that b4, didn't think of °F :) I was amazed really to see the fans so low at such a temperature :D :D

Oh i got ya, Yeah I just realized my iStat was set to Celsius, I just thought I had a really amazing cooling system hahaha
