I installed windows xp using bootcamp around june/july. Lately I havent been using it alot, and about 2 weeks ago i restarted my computer to run windows. I held the option key to run my windows and the option for running xp isn't there anymore? Can anyone tell me whats going on? Also when i try and run bootcamp it says "This startup disk is not supported."

Please Help

Does the Boot Camp XP partition show up on your desktop while you're in OS X? What happens if you open System Preferences, Startup Disk? Does the Boot Camp XP partition show up there? If not, run Disk Utility from Applications, Utilities. Does Disk Utility see your Boot Camp XP partition?

Something may have clobbered your Boot Camp XP installation so that it will no longer boot or the partition itself may be damaged. Depending on what happened you may be able to fix it by repairing Windows or it might require a complete reinstallation.

OK. If Disk Utility can't "see" the Boot Camp partition it either has been removed or damaged and no longer appears. If the XP boot sector suffers corruption or gets clobbered, the BC partition will still show up in Disk Utility even though XP will refuse to boot.

How large is your hard drive? Add up the space on your HD to see if perhaps the BC partition is still there but can't be seen. It may be there taking up space.

Regards.
