Edit File Name

OS 10.5.6, For some reason, I can not edit a file name inside a word folder unless I drag it out of the folder onto the desktop, then I can click the file rename or edit it. Any ideas?

What Word folder are you referring to? Word documents are normally stored and edited from the user documents folder. Files that pertain to Office 2008 are stored in particular folders where they're expected to be found by the program. Why do you need to rename them?

He'll probably have to fangle the input paradigms to make sure the kernel isn't interfering with the virtual disk devices. :)
