How can I tell the size of a picture, document etc. in kb or mb?

27" iMac (late 2013) El Capitan. iPad Mini.
If this sounds dumb, it's because it most likely is. How can I tell the size of a picture, document etc. in kb or mb? In windows, I would just right click on the picture and select 'properties' and all the details were there. Being very new to Mac's, I don't know where to look.

You'll get the hang of it.

Right click on the picture and select 'Get Info'.
