I was planning on buying a Macbook in the next week or so but don't want to get screwed by buying one shortly before an upgrade comes out.

So, any word on a Macbook upgrade? When do you think one is likely?

Going by previous upgrade times, you can expect the next upgrade to be sometime in the late Spring (April/May).

Ah yes, I should probably point out that it should only be a speed bump and nothing too substantial since the Macbooks were just redesigned recently. You'll see a minuscule speed difference between the Macbook you buy today and the updated ones that are coming in a few months.

So go ahead and buy the Macbook now if you want/need it. You won't be missing out on much if you wait.

Maybe they give macbooks the new 8 hours or something battery. Thats probably the only thing thats worth waiting.

OFC it will not be 8 hours as they should be smaller, but what about 5 or 6.

I'm still holding out on upgrading until they start going quad cored and USB3. I'm very content with what I have now.
