I've searched high and low on the forums and all over the internet, and cannot seem to find a solution to the following problem.
Here's what I got: Xbox 360 --> Intel iMac running OS X 10.4.11 via Ethernet Cable --> Wireless Network Routed by a Netgear WGR614v6.
Xbox 360 Network Settings:
Manual IP Address: 10.0.0.2
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 10.0.0.1 (The ethernet IP of the iMac)
Manual Primary DNS Server: 192.168.1.1
Manual Secondary DNS Server: 192.168.1.4
iMac Settings:
Sharing Airport with Built-in Ethernet Manually, IP 10.0.0.1, Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Airport IPv4: 192.168.1.4
Netgear WGR614v6 Router Settings:
UPnP enabled
Port Forwarding:
XBL1 UDP Port 88 forwarded to 192.168.1.4
XBL2 UDP Port 3074 forwarded to 192.168.1.4
XBL3 TCP Port 3074 forwarded to 192.168.1.4
Everything I have tried yields a strict NAT result. I have updated to the latest firmware. I have switched router and Xbox on and off numerous times. Moderate NAT will not work, I need an OPEN NAT to utilize xbox live to its fullest.
Yes, I know i can run a 100' ethernet cable directly from my Xbox upstairs to my router downstairs, but this problem is truly frustrating me and I don't understand what I am doing wrong. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.
