External Antenna for 2004 iBook g4 12"

Does anyone know of the availability of an external antenna for the iBook G4?

I'm looking to pick up better reception when picking up public wifi.

I understand that this would probably involve a hole in the case to run the antenna out.

first of all, double posting is not allowed. and second, Ive never known using an external antenna to improve wi fi reception, unless its an advanced high powered antenna.

So if I'm hanging out at Starbucks or at the mall (or any of 100s of places in todays metro areas, I'm in D.C.) an external antenna won't help me pick up a weaker, or distant signal?
I guess it all just depends on the location of your laptop huh?

You can modifiy the laptop to connect an external antena to the Airport card or get an USB adapter....
