Downloads folder empty but doesn't appear to be?

It's hard for me to describe this but the downloads folder is empty but on my dock it shows two icons. Here's a screen:

Download the free "onyX" utility from here and use it to repair permissions. Also run its other functions every so often. After repairing permissions, drag the two downloads from the DOCK downloads folder to the Trash (if you no longer need the original files).
