Text looks different in browsers than in dreamweaver

Hi

i am designing a site and am using css for the text it does what it says on the tin in the dreamweaver application but when uploaded it looks bolder and bulkier i am kinda new and am stuck anyone help cheers?

Ignore what Dreamweaver shows. What you see in the browsers is what users will see (obviously), so if you want it to be smaller or have less weight, decrease whatever values you are using so that it looks correct in your browser. I don't know what rendering engine Dreamweaver uses, but clearly you are seeing an example of why you need to always check in a real browser.

I've noticed that Safari makes your text look bolder than other browsers unless you explicitly speficy the font-weight in your css file.
