Chance HD icon?

Can you change the icon for your HD?
If so, how?

With the icon that you want to change it to, click on it, the press the keys Apple+i (Menu/File/getinfo)

Click on the icon in the finder window that appears (Just under text-general) and then press Apple+C (Menu/Edit/Copy)

Now click on the HD icon and do the same Apple+i (menu/file/getinfo)

Click on the icon (from the HD) again in the finder window that appears and then press Apple+P (menu/edit/paste)

P.S you may have to log out and back in again for changes to take effect.

Are there any good places to download icons?

tons. as far as changing icons, I use a contextual menu plugin thats just copy and paste in 1 click, and it lets you create and edit icons.

www.xicons.com is my favorite by far. Also, using CandyBar to change icons for you saves much time and hassle.
