Hi,
My Macbook is about a year old and recently it's started getting weird lines across the screen, which are obviously there all the time, but can only really been seen on darker images and black screens. They're kind of like flickering lines but it makes images almost seem like they've been photoshopped or are just pixelated.
Non-mac friends have suggested loose connection or viruses but i have my doubts. Also it started pretty much straight after i accidently let my battery die...that's probably relevent. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank yooou WV

First guess is video card. Am sure you have tried rebooting the machine already. It definitely is not a virus.

If you're getting close to your first year and don't have Applecare, I would get it to an Apple store to have it checked out. There is one of the nVidia cards having issues that they have extended the warranty to either 2 or 3 years (I forget which), and if it's that, you'll still be covered.
