I've had a couple of annoying issues recently. I've run a disk repair a couple of times to fix issues with the disk volume, have repaired permissions, and cleaned user and system caches.
1. When I print to a printer (HP LJ2200, for example), the print job prints, but the printer queue window doesn't show so I can't see the print queue. If I open the printer list I can show the queue, but I can't get the print queue to show from the printer application itself.
I've tried deleting the printer-related preferences.
2. Occasionally I'll get system hangs where the mouse and keyboard become unresponsive. Usually closing the lid and waiting a few seconds fixes the issue.
I haven't seen this since I did the various repair activities, but its only been a couple of hours and the hangs are intermittent.
