Would like to connect 17" Apple Studio Display LCD to Powermac G3 B&W.
The display has the ADC male connector which is not compatible with the G3.

So, how can I do this? Any and all help appreciated.

The G3 does not support AGP, which did not become available until Sawtooth G4 models. What connectors does the graphic display card you are currently using have? If you have to purchase a ADC/DVI or ADC/VGA unut may well be cheaper to purchase say a 733MHz Quicksilver which will run the ADC display no problems.

They are pretty cheap at the moment, and that model, with say 1.5GB memory, will run Tiger OS X.4 very nicely.

It's possible, but impractical. Gefen made a converter box but they were over priced and I doubt that you could even find one now. Did a quick search on ebay and didn't find it. Google did confirm its existence, so at least I'm not delusional. link

I can't think of any other work arounds right now.......
