Hi,

Just got a second hand Macbook Pro. It has Tiger 10.4.11 on it but i want to start from fresh and re-install the software. I did not get disks with the computer so i bought 10.4.10 thinking i could just downgrade.

However, this does not seem to work.

Can i erase the HDD and start again with this software?

If so how, i am a MAC virgin!

Thanks

Is the X.4.10 disc a black coloured full install DVD and NOT a grey coloured model specific system restore disc?

If it is the black coloured disc you will have to do a reformat and clean install of X.4.10. To do this pop in the DVD, reboot, holding down 'C' immediately after the chimes and follow the prompts.
