I just got the Canon Pixma MX850 printer, and was following the instructions to set it up for network use. Because I'm on using a Mac, I need to connect and set up the printer through the USB cable first. Once the first few steps are completed, the computer restarts, and the canon network utility appears. The utility asks if I want to use the printer over a wired network, I click yes, it checks the connection, and says everything is in working out.
When I check the settings, the computer only sees the printer as a USB connection. How do I switch it over to a network connection?
I tried connecting it by adding an IP printer, and that didn't work.
