How to get mac-laptop to work while closed

Im wondering if its an option that you can get your mac to still work when i close the laptop.

This really should be posted in the notebook section.

MacBook Pros will run when closed if they are connected to an external display. There is no official way that I am aware of that allows the MBP to run while closed.

You also need an external keyboard\mouse and have to bring the machine out of Sleep mode first or, use Insominax as suggested by bobtomay. I use my MacBook at home that way. See the following Apple KB:

Exactly! Use an external mouse to "wake" up the MB from sleep.
