Alternative to terminal app

i notice some weird happening in the terminal when using vi. are there any alternative apps that more faithfully recreate what im used to in linux?

Do you have the X11 application installed? Because if you do, you can try working in that window.

What he said. Use xterm.
Or you could install Fink, and with that install aterm, eterm, or rxvt for X11.
Also KDE with kterm or Gnome with gterm (or is it gnometerm? I dont remember)
Depends on what you're used to.

Edit: Oh yeah, there's also glterm for cocoa but it's shareware. Try macupdate.
