i have a powerbook g4 and an apple airport. in my last place the airport was in the same room as my laptop and it loaded pages and videos pretty fast. it always read full signal on the screen.
i have moved and the airport is on the other side of the wall from my laptop now, the front room being the only room with a cable jack. my laptop still reads full signal strength but it loads pages and especially video much slower. is there anything i can do to speed this up? would getting a wifi signal amp help me out at all? running an ethernet cable would be too long and in the way, or involve going through the wall which i don't think i can do since i'm renting. any tips or suggestions would be great. thanks!
