PowerBook Start Up Time

Hello There eveyone i have a problem maybe yall can fix.


My powerbook is maybe 8 months old and it has never had a problem till recently where it takes 6 mins or longer to start up. all i see is that little rainbow spinner of death and then all my dock finally loads up....any suggestions...

i ran utility....but nothing..

when you say you ran utility, what utility? and what did you do? have you tried resetting the pram or running cron scripts?

It might be time to do a fresh install of the operating system. It's going to be hard to figure out what the problem might be.

It is well known that the startup time becomes VVEERRYY long if you have a lot of additional Fonts in your Home (must be ~/Library/Fonts)...
