Apple introduces new 20GB and 40GB iPods (outdated link removed)
September 8, 2003 - 08:36 EDT Apple today also announced new "super-slim" (0.62 inches thick) 20GB and 40GB models of its iPod digital music player. The new 40GB iPod holds up to 10,000 CD-quality songs (playing each song back-to-back takes a month, notes Apple in the press release) in an enclosure that is lighter and thinner than two CDs. iPods are available in three models: a 10GB model for US$299, the new 20GB model for $399, and the new 40GB model for $499. All are available immediately.

My Notes: And here I just purchased and iPod.. hmm. I still havent even received it in the mail yet.. I am wondering if I can just return it and get this new model..

You might get the new one, if you order it from Apple. All you can do is hope. :)

I have heard, situations that products were updated and the person who ordered from Apple received the update. Since you ordered it from a 3rd party. I think you wouldn't get the update. But there is alway the first time. So it still could happen.

Well I am thinking that instead of the update that it would be a return situation and then I would just turn around and purchase the new iPod.. I havent even received the iPod in the mail yet.. so hopefully he'll be compassionate ;)
