Hi

My Macbook died last night - flashing ? in a folder is all that is displayed now when it is turned on. I know that I can use the recovery disc to put it right, but I don't have it with me and it will cost quite a bit to ship. Might seem like a stupid question, but does anyone know if simply buying leopard software and using the installation discs will be enough to bring the system back to life? I have all the data backed up so not concerned with rescuing anything.

Thanks

Sure, a retail copy of Leopard will work just fine.
