I sold an item on eBay recently and the buyer never paid or responded. I opened a unpaid item dispute against him and closed it on Sunday giving him an unpaid item strike after he never paid or emailed me. I recieved an email message from him saying:
The item was Buy-It-Now, so he couldn't have withdrew a bid, and he never messaged me saying that he didn't want the item. I told him that I was not going to remove the unpaid item strikes.
He then paid for the item this morning after 16 days of recieving nothing saying:
My question is, is it really worth risking my reputation on eBay for a $20 item? Is it true that if I do remove the unpaid item strike, he will be able to leave me negative feedback?
Even If I refund his money and refuse to remove the strikes, he can go to eBay and claim that he paid for it because he now has a reciept from paypal. Then, eBay will remove the strike given to him and he can leave me negative feedback.
I really hate the buyers who expect the sellers to remove unpaid item strikes and contact us only when they get punishment.
What would you do if you were in my situation? Send the item to him, remove the unpaid item strikes and probably get negative feedback OR Refund his money, keep the unpaid item strikes, and risk the chance he will complain to ebay that he paid for it and get negative feedback if the strikes are removed.
Hello, I quickly withdrew the bid on that item. Can you please remove the unpaid item strikes??
Thnx

I have paid for this crap, I did not respond because it was the holidays and I did not see your item strikes. But I guess you are one of those out there trying to stick it to people.
