I read that just this morning. Some people are thinking, at Tuesday's keynote, Steve will come out at the end for a "cameo" appearance. I think Steve will be with us for a while to come. Long live Steve!

Oh, here is the full letter Steve wrote- Breaking: Steve Jobs Skips MacWorld Because of His Health

The official Apple page in case anyone wants to see it:

Letter from Apple CEO Steve Jobs

I know he's a public figure, heading a public company - but I still feel his health is a private matter. Sad that he has to make a formal announcement to finally quash all of the scaremongering.

Sometimes I feel society has sunk to a new low when we have
to know every detail of a high profile person's life and health
a right to privacy should be available to all.

He's the CEO of a publicly traded corporation. If he is unable to do his job, it could have a major impact on the company's investors. They have a right to know.

It's not like some movie star's pregnancy.

I agree with this, while we dont need to know the intimate details shareholders have the right to know whether or not he can perform the job.

If he wouldn't have disclosed that information, the SEC would have flipped on Apple when they did find out...and they ALWAYS find out. LOL ;D

Glad to hear Steve is (will be) OK, and that he's come out and told the world himself. I agree that this was a good thing to do, both for our sake ;) and the company's sake.

Actually I do agree that Steve wants his personal life to be personal. And it was a big step telling us what he did. I think it's all cause we're scared. Scared cause we all think Steve does a good job.

We all know the non Steve period in Apple. Not Apple's best days. And it's actually better in many ways that everyone knows who is the CEO for the foreseeable future.

Thanks to him. And hope he gets well soon.

They have worked with him long enough to know what moves to make he has
instilled his workings long ago doubt Apple will return to their past it was
almost their demise.
