My external hard drive started to fail before Christmas, and I managed to backup a DVD's worth of data (4.3Gb).
However, the data I backed up seems to be corrupt. Every file looks perfectly fine, and is the correct size, but I just get error messages e.g. "Acrobat could not open the file because it is not a supported file type, or because the file has been damaged".
Is there a program available that could possibly fix 4.3Gb of corrupt data?
