PDF + iPhone?

Whts the easiest way to load a 20MB PDF file onto an iphone for latter viewing?

Email it to yourself or save it in a Drafts folder.

email doesnt support a file bigger than 20 MB

MobileFiles in the app store allows you to access to your iDisk, if you have one. Then you can save it on your phone.

Get the FileMagnet app. Not sure if it'll handle files of that size though.

I use an application called air sharing. available in the itunes store. syncs files on your computer with your iphone / ipod touch. getting the file onto the phone isnt as much of a problem as actually viewing the pdf if its to big. there isnt enough memory on the iphone / ipod touch to open huge files. a 20 meg pdf you should be ok but i wouldnt go much larger then that or it will lock up your phone for 10 minutes and then simply crash the os.

Two other solutions

PDF Reader Pro and PDF+ are both interesting alternatives. In PDF+, the instruction manual is a PDF file itself, but it is not designed to be properly displayed on an iPhone screen, which is kind of dumb. On the other hand, PDF+ has a search function, which is cool, while PDF Reader Pro doesn't, which is kind of dumb. So I installed both

4 for airsharing...as a matter of fact i download ebook copies of tech manuals then use airsharing to put them on my iPhone ! How did I ever live without this phone?

Convert PDF to EPUB

You can also convert PDF’s to EPUB’s: Epub2Go - Convert PDF to EPUB - iPhone - Ebook - Stanza

The free web site will automatically transfer them to your iPhone (via an e-mail link).
You must have Stanza on your iPhone (which is a great book reader).

One of the advantages is that EPUB's are a lot smaller.

Easiest is use Google Docs

Easiest way is upload the PDF to Google Docs and then go there on the iPhone to view the PDF.

Goolge Docs gives you special email address that just dumps any doc you send into Google Doc.

You put Google Docs as Favorite in iPhone/Safari and there are you docs for viewing. You can rotate them, expand them etc.

Try the Good Reader app ($.99). You can upload files via USB, wi-fi, download a Gmail attachment, etc. It handles 20MB and larger files well.

ftpdisc

ftpdisc (lite) can download a PDF file to the iPhone, and you can later
read it

It seems good reader doesn't support usb in app store?
